What we love…
Villa Apava is a sophisticated and impeccably styled home with all of the contemporary additions that will make your stay comfortable. Yet what makes this property so special are the glamorous panoramas that sweep across the harbour. Whether you are sitting in the comfort of the plush couch in the open-plan living area; dining on the travertine-tiled entertainer’s terrace, or waking up in the luxurious surrounds of the master suite with private dressing room and floor-to-ceiling windows, this remarkable home has been designed so you can enjoy captivating harbour views at every possible moment. To enjoy them best, fill the ice bucket with a bottle of bubbles, and settle yourself onto one of the alfresco terraces, where you can marvel at the dynamic view that takes in the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, and the CBD.
With five bedrooms in the main residence, a further bedroom in the guest house, and an array of beautifully furnished living spaces, the layout will work perfectly for large families as well as groups of friends. Also at your disposal is a heated saltwater pool, a fire pit, a games room with a pool table, a home gym and an enclosed garden, so everything you will need for a lavish and indulgent weekend of harbourside bliss is right here.
What to do while you’re here…
If you do decide to venture out, there is plenty to see and do within the immediate vicinity. Vaucluse has a rich heritage and a colourful collection of historical estates that include Strickland House and Vaucluse House. From Wentworth Road, take the shortcut that leads almost directly to Strickland House where you can look around the house or take a picnic and sit in the grounds.
Shark Bay at Neilson Point is a popular spot for divers, or there are some fabulous walks that circumnavigate the harbour, including the famous Rose Bay to Watsons Bay walk that passes Parsley Bay Reserve. Or, if you feel like heading out of the neighbourhood, there is an exciting selection of beaches and world-renowned waterfront dining options at nearby Watsons Bay, Rose Bay or Bondi.
