The Property

Vaucluse House is a luxurious seaside sanctuary with an abundance of space that spills outside towards the ocean.  

With timber floorboards and an expanse of floor-to-ceiling glass, the open-plan lounge and dining area invites casual and relaxed living. There is an additional family room on the top floor, and two open-air terraces to sit and drink in the mesmeric sights and sounds of the waves that ebb and flow beneath the house.

The contemporary marble kitchen is perfectly outfitted for luxury self-catering breaks, with state-of-the-art Miele appliances, induction cooking and a double oven. Choose whether to dine at the marble island breakfast bar, the dedicated dining area with stunning ocean backdrop, or go alfresco. 

Eight guests can be comfortably accommodated in four generous bedrooms. Three of these have luxurious marble en-suites, including the master bedroom, which features a deep, freestanding bathtub and ocean views.

For those who love their home-away-from-home to be equipped with creature comforts, there is SONOS surround sound, and a full-length lap pool that runs adjacent to the ocean. If that’s not enough, then there’s a fully equipped gymnasium and pilates studio, making it very difficult to find a reason to leave.

The Neighbourhood

If you do decide to venture out, Vaucluse has a unique charm that makes it attractive to many. Here, the living is easy, with a choice of stunning harbourside beaches within walking distance, including Rose Bay and Parsley Bay. Neighbouring suburb Bondi also offers a treasure trove of shopping and dining options, as well as one of the most famous surf beaches in the world.

Diamond Bay Reserve sits adjacent to the house, so you can stretch your legs and marvel at the rugged beauty of the coastline. Or immerse yourself in the historic charm of Vaucluse with high tea at Vaucluse House, or a picnic in the grounds of Strickland House.
